Batman Animated Complete Series was and still is the best interpretation of The Dark Knight. Drawing inspiration and facts from the best that had come ab initio, creators Eric Radomski and Bruce Timm- who were later aided by Paul Dini and Alan Burnett, brought in a whole new era of children’s animation and created virtually one of the finest television programs ever seen on T. The voice acting in Batman Animated Complete Series is beyond exceptional.
When many fans of the comic read the Batman Animated Complete Series comic books, the voices they hear for the good guys are usually that of Efrem Zimbalist Jr (Alfred), Kevin Conroy (Bruce Wayne/The Batman), Bob Hastings (Jim Gordon). Conroy knew how to distinctively use his voice as Batman without coming off as groggy. In Batman Animated Complete Series, Loren Lester even managed to make Robin/Nightwing sound cool. Moreover, let’s not forget that the show invented the long-running character of Renee Montoya who was not featured as Detective Anna Ramirez from The Dark Knights. As for the villains, there’s enough already written about the Mark Hamill’s work with The Joker, as well as the Arleen Sorkin as Harley Queen.
Harley, if you dont know, is the girlfrien of Joker, who was ret-conned in later series of Batman comic book word. You should easily remember the Ansara’s Monotone Mr Freeze, and the David Warner’s arrogant Ra’s al Ghul, Richard Moll’s Harvey Dent, and the John Glover’s deadly Riddler. which made more psychological sense here…. Lastly, the animation style of this TV series simply was phenomenal. Batman Animated Complete Series apparently drew some inspiration from the Tim Burton movies, but has that noir flair.
